With the end of summer in sight, back to school planning is underway and cooler temperatures are on the horizon. So is Fall Into the Arts art walk.
Downtown Battle Creek's annual artwalk, Fall Into the Arts, will take place on Friday, October 18, 2019.
The Battle Creek Area Chamber of Commerce believes these events provide businesses and arts organizations with the tools they need to create meaningful partnerships that support a healthy, creative, and artistic community, but that also give businesses a competitive advantage. Spring and Fall into the Arts demonstrates how the arts can help businesses enhance the critical thinking and creative skills of their workforce and how artists can develop new innovative business strategies. Together, we can advance the community in which they live and work in new and resourceful ways.
Back again is the “People’s Choice Award”, where the public can vote for their favorite work of art. The first place artist will receive a cash reward of $1,500 and second place will receive $1,000 cash reward.
The search is on for artists! Are you an artist looking to gain exposure in southwest Michigan through displaying your work or performing? Are you able to adapt to unique venues to showcase your work? Are you available on Friday, October 18? If so, submit your artistic notion to be considered as an artist for the event.
Submissions should only be reflective of what you would display (or perform) during the event. Information should be sent to email@example.com or hand delivered to 34 West Jackson, Suite 3A, Battle Creek, MI 49017.
Deadline for submission is Friday, September 13, 2019. Art encompasses many mediums and this event highlights most, but vendors will not be considered in the people’s choice award.
