Silent Observer offers citizens the opportunity to provide police with vital information - yet remain anonymous. Silent Observers can receive rewards of up to $5,000 for providing information leading to the arrest of individuals, who are later bound over for trial.

The Fugitive of the Month Program, run collaboratively with the Michigan State Police 5^th District Fugitive Team, features a "Wanted Fugitive" whose capture requires public assistance. The Battle Creek Enquirer cosponsors the program by matching the Silent Observer Committee's rewards. The maximum reward level is $1,000.00 dollars. To date, this program has featured 116 fugitives and 110 have been captured.
