More consumer directed health care options coming to you soon

Experts predict strong future growth in consumer directed
health care, including Web-enabled health care programs that
give members financial incentives to be more responsible for
their medical purchase decisions. It also includes a variety
of tools to assist members in making more-informed health
care decisions.
Blue
Cross Blue Shield of Michigan has already integrated certain
aspects of CDHC into some of our products. In the future,
we will roll out additional consumer directed programs that
offer even more choice and flexibility in health care coverage.

What
does the future hold?
We're developing more competitive products featuring a variety
of spending account arrangements. These various cost-share
funding mechanisms, including health reimbursement accounts,
HSAs and flexible spending accounts, will be affordable premium
options that give you unprecedented choice and flexibility
in benefit design and services.
Informational
tools will be available to help members save on their health
care costs.
Members
will have control over the funds in their accounts and take
accounts with them if they move to other employers.
We're
